Textron EZ GO PTVs Recall Class Action Lawsuits
On October 16, 2025, Textron issued a recall for their E-Z-G) Personal Transportation Vehicles (PTVs). According to the recall (#26-021), the recalled PTVs can leak fuel at the quick-connect fitting that is between the fuel line and fuel injector mounted on the engine. This poses a risk of injury as well as a fire hazard. The recall reportedly affects approximately 90,800 products in the U.S. and about 7,300 products in Canada.
The recall specifically includes the following models of the PTVs:
- 2020 to 2025 RXV Freedom
- 2023 to 2025 Valor
- 2020 to 2022 TXT Freedom
- 2020 to 2022 Valor
The affected models have the following serial numbers:
- 5538278 through 5920722
- 3455024 through 3582057
The serial number can be found printed near the base of the PTVs steering column for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 Valor PTVs, below the operator seat for all the TXT vehicles and the 2020, 2021, and 2022 Valor PTVs. The PTVs are primarility used to transport people and are usually referred to as golf cars or golf carts.
The recalled PTVs were sold at Textron dealerships and distributors around the country from September 2019 through June 2025 for prices ranging between $8,400 and $14,000.
According to the recall, no incidents or injuries have been reported so far.
The company is urging affected consumers to stop using the recalled personal transportation vehicles until they have been inspected and repaired. Consumers are urged to contact the company for inspection instruments or contact an authorized dealer to schedule a free inspection. If vehicles show signs of fuel leakage, it will be repaired for free (the fuel line will be replaced). Consumers who cannot transport their vehicle to an authorized dealer for inspection/repair can contact the company or an authorized dealer for further information and assistance.

Survivors of these incidents may also suffer from extensive mental and emotional distress, which may include post-traumatic stress, anxiety, panic, and more.

You may have questions about what to do if you or a loved one sustained injuries due to the defective PTVs. Consider some of the following suggestions:
- Take photos of all injuries
- Seek medical attention as soon as possible
- Take photos of the vehicle and the entire scene of the incident
- Do not tamper with the PTV in any way
- Contact the company to report the incident and the harm that occurred
- Do not agree to a free repair, a return, a replacement, or a refund
